The BlackBerry 10 Camera App Can Turn Back Time
A camera is highly important in any smartphone. Even since before the iPhone, the ability to snap a picture on your cell phone and essentially leave your camera at home not only changed the digital camera industry for good, but it has changed the way we look at smartphones and ultimately affects our purchasing decisions. At RIM's BlackBerry Jam conference this morning, the company hit us with a really interesting take on smartphone camera software. We still know very little about the hardware specs coming out of RIM later this year, but a demo of the BlackBerry camera app shows that the company is thinking about ways to wow current and potential BlackBerry users.barnaby the cabin in the woods the cabin in the woods trace adkins the darkest hour the darkest hour neverland
Gwen Stefani Rumored as X Factor Host
The X Factor carousel has stopped on Gwen Stefani.
One day after rumors surfaced that either Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato would join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears on the season two panel, an insider tells The New York Post that this female singer is under consideration for a different role.
Host.
The singer would take over for Steve Jones, who was let go after a disappointing opening season.
A Fox insider says Stefani has been contacted, is interested and would seek compensation between $5-7 million.
“[Cowell] is feeling the pressure and knows only a big-time, well-respected name will do if he wants anyone to flip the channel from The Voice," the source claims, adding that the NBC hit may face off against The X Factor this fall.
Do you think Gwen would make a fun host?

Microsoft granted patent for wearable EMG device
Those muscle spasms? They're now good for something. Okay, so Microsoft's just-granted patent for a wearable EMG device doesn't really thrive off of involuntary twitching and such, but it does use your movements to control your smartphone, notebook and other gadgets. The "Wearable Electromyography-Based Controller," which we first glimpsed back in 2010, uses sensors to interpret the electrical signals generated by a user's muscles, and then communicates with the wearer's computer via a wireless (or wired) connection. Redmond envisions the wearable device in various incarnations: as an armband equipped with sensors, a shirt, eyeglasses and even nodes attached directly to the user's body. In the armband example, motion control could be used to interact with a PMP while the user is jogging. No matter the setup, a calibration process allows the system to locate specific sensors and collect information based on specific gestures or movements, which means playing Guitar Hero with only an air guitar may someday be a reality after all.

Advantages of Homeschooling | Education Blog Site

An intelligent man once said, ?We can teach our kids to own courage, faith, and endurance and show them how you can learn, and in addition they can tutor us to laugh, to sing, and also to love.? Quite simply, each friend has valuable lessons to teach the household.
Every time a family homeschools, this reciprocal relationship is magnified. Homeschooling participants are influenced by more than just the individual that spend time at the homeschool table. All generations create and reinforce the bond between loved ones. Homeschooling families spend their time laughing, learning, playing and living alongside 1 another 24/7.
You possibly can pick a qualified curriculum in promoting an intrinsic love of lifelong learning. The homeschool curriculum is flexible. The parameters are driven by the most beneficial teachers available, the mother and father, who know and love their kids.
Learning never stops inside homeschool environment. The parents will not be just lecturers or observers. These are active participants who expand, explain and encourage their children to get inquisitive and explore the unique areas that interest them minus the constraints of arbitrary rules established by an outside source.
Another to homeschooling could be that the parents model and reinforce valuable behavior and deemphasize undesirable behavior in a very natural manner.
Historically several generations lived in the same home. Everyone taken advantage of this multi-generational living arrangement, coming away with valuable lessons that can?t learn inside a book. Plus more often than not there is the additional benefit of the multi-grade/level schoolhouse for the formal education.
Presently we very often squeeze seniors in nursing homes once they get too bothersome (merely to visit them on holidays), and now we are satisfied with a failing public school system that has been given the job of being everything to everyone but alienates most participants.
Homeschooling is the foremost of all possible worlds. It?s great for both the family and then for your children?s education.
The main advantages of homeschool are limitless. Being a parent who homeschooled three children, I?m that homeschooling is the best gift a parent or gaurdian may give their son or daughter. Check it out. You?ll as it!

Samsung Canada begins rollout of ICS today
Let's not speak of the several months it took for Ice Cream Sandwich to finally begin showing up on Samsung devices. Rather, the fine mobile-loving folks in Canada should just take a brief moment to embrace the present and not-too-distant future, because Samsung is now officially rolling out its long-awaited Android update to the nation up north -- complete with the latest version of TouchWiz -- to select devices today and continuing throughout the rest of the quarter. The list of featured products include the Galaxy S II (along with its LTE, LTE HD and X variants), Galaxy Note and several Galaxy Tabs, such as the 7.0, 7.0 Plus, 8.9 and 10.1. Of course, not everyone will get the beloved installation invitation today, since these large-scale rollouts seem to take a healthy amount of time. If you simply can't wait, it couldn't hurt to give the 'ol manual update method a try.

US Cellular, Alltel Wireless team up to launch 'U Prepaid' service in Walmart stores
Good ol' Wally isn't a stranger when it comes to offering prepaid wireless goods within its shops, and now the retail giant's about to add yet another service to that carrier-packed inventory. Starting next month, US Cellular -- in partnership with Alltel Wireless -- will begin rolling out a new contract-free package dubbed "U Prepaid," which, naturally, is set to be backed by both of the aforementioned carrier's networks. The fresh U Prepaid deal will be making its way into "nearly" 500 Walmart stores across 18 US states, though there's no mention of which ones specifically. That being said, US Cellular and Alltel did announce the four devices coming at launch, including Samsung's Repp and Chrone along with the LG Attune / Exchange and Saber. In any case, now you know where to go if those recently announced plans from AT&T and Verizon aren't keeping a smile on your face.
